I usually preload 4 to 6 months via deals like this. Load them to the account and they'll automatically deduct $100 on your billing date. These are digital refill cards so you get them within 30 min of buying via email. They only offer those to get customers from competition.Īlso, today/tomorrow is a good day to pre-load the plan ġ5% off refill cards. Anywhere in suburbs you probably wont be able to tell the difference between your ATT and Cricket plans.Īnd yeah, you cant get any deals since Cricket is owned by ATT. Slowing speeds should not matter at all unless you live in a huge city's downtown (like Los Angeles), and I mean like, right in downtown with 100 storie buildings. Ive driven up and down California with both ATT and Cricket and coverage is identical. I hear that Androids may have issues with phone compatibility. Was simple and smooth transition, but all 4 of my lines were/are iPhones. I switched from 4 lines at ATT to 4 lines at Cricket a few years back (never regretted it). It's fine to be w/ AT&T prepaid & do this. Hopefully this all makes sense lol.Įdit: You do have to be away from Cricket for either 90 or 180 days, not sure I'd ask a representative. Might sound like a pain to carrier hop but if you save alot of money, screw it lol. I know for a fact though you're not considered a new customer with Cricket if your number is with ANY AT&T mvno. Now I just switched over to Cricket & I got a phone that required the $60 premium data & I only wanted the $40 unlimited but it was actually cheaper for me to get the $60 premium for my 2nd line so play around with options & see what is what. ![]() I'd try the regular unlimited & see how it goes. If you get the 1 tier unlimited they can slow u down at times but Cricket has taken away all speed data caps so it's pretty good. As far as Cricket plans the top tier is supposed to not slow your speeds, some they still prioritize & some say they don't. If you choose you can also get the 7 day refund Mint offers. Go to Mint & legit once your line switches over you can get the new customer pricing with Cricket. No, it won't work because your number is with AT&T currently.
